About Me
Dr. Mwata Dyson is a sought-after medical expert that specializes in anesthesiology. He has worked extensively with a broad range of medical and surgical specialties including neurosurgery, orthopedics, obstetrics/gynecology, pediatrics, pain management and more. It is his personal mission to provide compassionate care for his patients and often integrates his knowledge of holistic health, dietary choices and exercise into his practice.

Dr. Dyson has contributed his expertise to multiple facets of medical journalism.  He can be seen regularly as a medical correspondent for the abc network morning show “Sonoran Living” in Phoenix, AZ. He has also appeared on national shows such as “iVillage” and has been a special guest on WVON am-radio in Chicago. He has also contributed multiple articles that have appeared in numerous periodicals.

Passionate about empowering patients on all levels, Dr. Dyson is committed to taking the time to ensure that all of his patients have a solid understanding of their underlying medical ailments and are fully aware of the choices available to them. He sees this as an essential step towards facilitating a healthy recovery and the crucial prevention of future health problems. He also envisions this as a way to aid in halting the escalating healthcare costs and overall poor medical conditions within the United States.

His personal experiences with patients have further fueled a passion to promote health education and create a general awareness of health and wellness throughout the public. He is a board member of the Fields Foundation, a non-profit entity whose goal is to enhance the life of underprivileged women and children, where he develops and presents various programs that address preventative health care issues. He also volunteers his time speaking at schools, educating teenagers about the importance of healthy eating and issues associated with obesity.

A native of Chicago, Dr. Dyson is the President and Founder of Paradise Anesthesia.  He received his BA in biology at Hampton University and completed his medical education at The Chicago Medical School/Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science.  After receiving his doctorate of medicine, he trained at The University of Illinois at Chicago in the Department of Anesthesiology.
